Just an orphan....

Because I have a massive amount of free time due to being out of work, I'm plowing through the minis from Kickstarters that have been languishing on the To-Do pile. So, this gun-toting orphan from Lead Adventure's Denizens of the Smog is just the first. Expect some Astropolis stuff, more steampunk stuff, probably some warbands, and some Raging Heroes heroine babes.

Oh, and more weaponized children.

First Mini of the Year!

A freelance biologis researcher equally at home in games of INQ-28 or Shadows of Brimstone, this fellow was a relatively simple conversion involving drilling out the metal elf head of a Reaper elf alchemist and attaching a Lead Adventure kickstarter reward head. I pondered giving him a servo-skull buddy or a handgun of some kind, but it would've limited his playability a bit.

I really dig the step up in quality we've seen from Reaper lately, including in their Dreadmere line. I just wish they'd drop their Bones plastic. It's awful shit that bends like rubber and can't hold paint worth a damn. Don't be lured in by the low price, folks: avoid avoid AVOID.

International House of Paincakes

Out of the fell shadows of August  comes a new blog network, courtesy of Lauby and Dethtron.  I was asked kindly to contribute an article or two, and contribute I shall. Of course, my kind of article requires building things and documenting that with a camera, so it'll require some planning.

Anyways, check them out (and sign up, while you're at it: Int'l House of Paincakes

No, I don't know what a Paincake is, but I suspect it has something to do with ham.

In other news, it appears the new Tyrant is going to be a horrifying centaur monster, along the lines of the Berserker shown in the last post.

Maybe I'll call him "Ultima".....

Born of Necessity....

Not always the best cause to start anything, as haste is usually involved, but... well, there you go.

Certain people (you know who you are)  have told me I should blog because

1)  I write so bloody much anyway it's ridiculous. It's true. I do it as a hobby. Whole unfinished chapters of fiction. Not bad stuff, but better than you'd think would come from someone like me. Thoughts. Descriptions of things that aren't. Dialogues that should perhaps stay internal.

2) They think I'm absolutely hilarious/insane/serious and can't wait to see what spills out of my mouth next, let alone what I'm thinking. To those people I say "Be careful what you wish for..."

To be quite honest, the term Blog has always annoyed the heck out of me because it sounds like the noise someone makes when trying to eject something foreign from their own throat. Also, a lot of people are pretentious, self-important, dull, humorless, and/or just plain boring. Working part-time in retail when I was in college has taught me just how stupid and pedestrian 90% of everybody else can be. Working in office buildings has reinforced that.

Really, stop shaking your head. You've seen it. You agree. Otherwise you wouldn't find Dilbert and Clerks so hilarious.

Plus, I can't stand blogs. I really can't.

Regardless (or irregardless) I'm a blogger now.

God help us.
