Floating Skullballs Make Me Happy....

Image copyright Privateer Press, used without permission
Whether it's their Wraith engine or this thing, every time I turn around Privateer Press turns out something cool. Between this and their stompy Warjack goodness, it's almost as if they want me to try their game or something.

Maybe if I sell a WHF army or two?

If I hadn't already made a Zoanthrope model, this thing would be it. Maybe Skullball will be my new Overlord or something, I dunno. Either way, I want one.

I like their sculpts but I feel their range lacks variety...The warjacks all look extremely similar, it's hard to tell the difference between the factions. Their character models are great though. I'm just not into steam-punk though (maybe if it had more punk and less steam, I'd like it). Not trolling, just commenting...

I know what you mean, Tim. While they're extremely well art-directed and definitely have a distinct visual style, the variety just isn't there. It's all large torsos and small legs. At least their Warcasters and other infantry-sized models have a bit more distinctiveness to them, though.

That's a pretty slick model - may be ideal for a Dark Mechanicus character! I agree with Tim, the warjacks leave me cold, but their infantry/character models have found plenty of use in my Necromunda and Rogue Trader campaigns...

I gravitated to Cryx largely because they have a greater variety of 'jack chassis (and they're undead). I agree that the humanoid factions' jacks do sort of blur together after a while (and they're not undead so who cares).

Glad I'm not the only one who actually likes the Overseer figure, too...

I'd love to see what you could do with a Cryx army...
